MEET THE PRIEST TIME
Mood:  happy

Father Farrell was a very interesting priest. Annette and I never really met a priest that cursed and told stories of wedding fraud. There is a first for everything.

Here are the things we have learned so far:

1) We have to go through an investigation of baptism - This will send out a search within the archives of Jesus followers globally in effort to find out if we have been married before. We got that one under control and thank God they don't check our credit!

2) They are going to check the authenticity of our baptism certificates. As if anyone on this Earth would fake one. If I were to fake something it would be green papers with presidents on them.

3) "The old school way" He just plain out asked us. I find this method to be the most practical, economical, and time bound. Besides, if I were to cheat the all holy sacrament of marriage and the Catholic Church a simple warning like "your going to burn in hell if you’re lying" would be sufficient.

Then he pulled out his holy date book of the church and opened to February. He flipped untill he found his way to the page with the big 7 on it. To his surprise we have already been penciled in for our big day with God! He asked us a question that brought about a look of great confusion on our face.

"Do you want a mass or ceremony?"

"Um .... Don't you get both? Which one is equal to the super size or king-size meal?

The fact that we were obviously clueless as to the difference prompted the ill fated question that so many betrothed couples fear.

"So when was the last time you went to church?"

The sweat on my newly shaven head and a few collar pulls sent the message to our priest to press on with more casual catholic friendly questions.

Well we had our names and address put into the book which happened to be the same information (hehe) and we were on our way with another wedding planning day under our belt!

p.s. here is a pic of the man that made it all possible:
